Activity 25 - Writing Reponse Groups
Hello Seniors!
Today we will work in Writing Response Groups. Please have out your working Personal Statement drafts. Please follow Protocol and make sure you engage authentically. If you do not have a copy with you - you will not get credit for today. Rather - listen and engage with your group so that you have ideas and can begin your own writing.
Protocol
* Person 1 - Read your working draft. Take notes while others offer advice and feedback
* Go around the group - One comment that supports, One comments that is constructive for improvement. Use the Checklist from your handouts (Activity 23,24), and also refer to your UC Handout with prompts and suggestions.
* Once everyone has made comments, the Person gets to talk, explain, ask questions.
* Repeat until everyone gets a chance to go.
Homework:
* Tomorrow is a writing day - come prepared to work on your draft
* Friday - Student Share - Questions, Advice, Feedback.
* Draft #2 - typed with SIX copies is due next Wednesday for our next WRG
* Your final draft is due on Friday 10/23 - NO LATE WORK WILL BE ACCEPTED
