Final Essay Question - In Class Writing Prompt
Hello Everyone,
Below you will see the prompt and instructions for our Final writing assessment of the Semester.
You may use your notes and your articles. Please write a clear and easy to follow synthesis paper that answers the question, has a clear claim, and uses a variety of texts as evidence. You need to be able to connect the texts to one another, as well as connect them to yourself and the world.
Over the last few weeks we have read articles, analyzed poems and clips, and watched a documentary that highlights the art and world of Spoken Word poetry and Slam. There are many aspects to this genre and medium. Some of us are drawn to the entertainment factor, others the use of literacy/music, content, performance, competition, etc. Make YOUR CLAIM - and write a wonderful paper that shows your understanding. Make a clear argument and be credible. Avoid superfulous language, proofread, edit, and revise before turning in.
