Steve Jobs Speech - Discussion and Charting

Hello Everyone!

Let's review together.  Let's get into it - what are the issues and claims that Steve Jobs makes in his commencement speech.  What speaks true to you?  Are there any stories that you are able to connect with?  How do you feel about the claims?  Any quotes that are worthy of analyzing.  How do these themes connect to self, world, and other texts?

1. Choose one of Steve's stories.  Explain the significance and tell your own story that connects.
2. Text - Steve Jobs Commencement Speech - "You've Got To Find What You Love'  - Discussion

Steve Jobs Commencment

Hello Everyone!

Today we will explore a well written speech.  These words are spoken in hindsight.  Steve Jobs tells three stories that are all connected to a specific theme and how it lends itself to perspective and what we value as we begin to make sense of our lives and the choices we make.

It is fitting that graduates are the audience - moving on and moving forward.  You are these same graduates.  How will you connect to these words and lessons? Listen to the speech and follow along in the text in your packet.
